Looking to the holidays

As today is an important day in our history, I want to say a few things about grief. Grief is many things to many people and it can be very different from one person to another. Everyone of us experiences grief in different ways. It is much like how you see the space you are in right now. If you were attending a show and were sitting in the audience what would you see? A stage with a closed curtain, chairs in front of you filled with other audience members? Maybe the stage is set for the opening scene? Now think what the actors see. They see lights, many bright lights. They see people's faces, they see the back of the theatre. You can be in the same room and see very different things depending on the view and experiences you have.

Remember this as you spend time with your families this holiday season and as you remember those who may not be with you at this time.
